Good News Brews

We met at the Craft Beer Store on Wednesday night at 7:00pm for our public theology gathering. Our topic this month was pretty simple - what are the current events you see on the news or in your social media feeds and where might we see good news in those things, even if it seems unlikely. 

Among news stories on violence, anger, and disappointment, we worked together to see how the presence of God remains. Personally, I always find myself looking for the helpers - the people that show up to offer their assistance, often at their own expense. The helpers often point us toward the presence of God - a reminder that God is always moving and living and breathing in our world - in unexpected places and in unexpected ways.
