Beloved,
The abundance of God is boldly on display here in this place! I am so profoundly grateful for your faithful witness to the power and presence of God’s movement, here in Clifton Heights and beyond.
As you may have heard on Sunday, our endowment funding campaign hit $35,000 by Sunday. That is an incredible testament to the Good News of Jesus Christ!
We are well over halfway to our original goal of $66,000. That’s a thousand dollars for each year of ministry we’ve had together as St. Mark Temple Lutheran. Since the merger of those two congregations in 1959, we have done some incredible work together. Our ministry has expanded to touch lives across Delaware County and beyond. From our service among those experiencing homelessness to our drives for backpacks and canned goods to support families in need, to our Christmas gift drives for folks living in Fair Acres, to our ever-expanding Christian School programming – the Good News of Jesus Christ is on the move.
Our focus now turns to the upcoming holiday season as we look to Advent and Christmas. There are lots of exciting things coming up, and I can’t wait to see what the next months bring for our community.
The Endowment Funding Campaign officially ended this past Sunday, the 19th. But we are still accepting gifts toward St. Mark’s Mission Endowment Fund. Your gifts of any size are welcome – and will make a difference as we work together to continue to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in Word and Deed. If you haven’t had a chance to contribute yet, I hope you will consider doing so before the New Year.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or to Jeanne Kampmeyer, our treasurer. We’d be happy to chat with you about the purpose of the Mission Endowment Fund and the various ways you can contribute through things like estate planning and more.
And again, thank you! God is up to something incredible in this place, and I am so excited to see how the Spirit moves in the days and months and years ahead.
Your coworker in the Gospel,
Pr. Kevin
